How HCG Works
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a placental peptide hormone produced and released during pregnancy. Dr. Simeons theorized this hormone regulates the metabolic system of the body, making fat reserves readily available, when food is not available to the mother. Doctor Simeons also believed that during the second phase of the protocol, the brain regulates the body’s metabolic rate at a new adapted faster speed, which is changed by Phase I of the protocol.
What HCG Does
HCG, affects part of the brain, hypothalamus, that allows your body to utilize fat as energy source when food is not available. The combined protocol allows both men and women alike to live off their excess fat, without the loss of muscle mass. Under the influence of HCG the brain is capable of regulating the metabolic system.
