My Options journey started in 2019 of August. I was looking for something very different in terms of a weight loss program, I had tried a variety of weight loss programs such as Jennie Craig and Weight Watchers, and I wanted to try something different. I wanted something that was going to be flexible with my schedule and also that allowed me to speak with a real-life person on a weekly basis. My first impression of Options was when I saw all the food, I was thinking to myself, “Okay, this is just another program where I have to eat all this food, and then I’m not gonna keep this weight off. I’m going to lose this weight and I’m not going to keep this weight off.” However, when I got in and I started speaking with the manager about the program, he was very accommodating. He was very empathetic to my needs, especially with being a man talking about weight loss. He made me understand that there’s a variety of programs and how we’ll just pick out the one that’s best for you. It’s been wonderful working with the team at Options.
They are very flexible; they actually cater to my needs. If ever I need to reschedule my appointment or have a question, they’re always there. They are really here to help you reach your goals. My favorite memory with Options is when I first started the program. When I first met my initial counselor, I did not feel like I was gonna succeed. And she actually pushed me and motivated me to where she actually made me feel like I can do the program and I can succeed and get the weight off. Options has changed my life because now I have more energy, I’ve actually lost more weight than I wanted to… Which is wonderful, I’m not complaining about that. I feel better about myself. I am able to choose foods that I enjoy, but also that will not hinder me in terms of maintaining my weight or my weight loss goals.

The calculations rely on mathematical models developed by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases of the National Institute of Health.
